Launching your app: the first 30 days of go-to-market
What to set up before launch day and what to measure in the first month.
Shipping is half the job. The other half is getting the right people to try it. Here's the plan we run with founders in the first month after launch.
Before launch: tracking first
Install analytics and conversion tracking before you spend a dollar on ads. If you can't see which ad brought which sign-up, you can't tell what's working.
Week 1: one message, one page
Write one sentence on who it's for and what it does. Put it on a landing page with one call to action, and test it with ten people in your market before running ads.
Weeks 2 and 3: small, honest tests
Run small ad tests on one or two channels where your customers already spend time, alongside direct outreach. Keep budgets small until you know your cost per lead.
Week 4: read the numbers, then decide
Look at spend, leads, cost per lead and booked calls. Move budget to what works and stop what doesn't. That weekly review is the habit that matters most.
Launch and Grow, with a fixed fee and ad spend at cost.
The Idea Lab turns a two-sentence idea into a build plan: why it could work, what to get right first, the first version worth building and its price. Two minutes, from our published rates.
