Creator monetization platform: 0 → $90K GMV in 6 weeks

The situation

• A solo founder shipped a creator monetization concept on v0, drop links, take payments, run paid challenges. A mid-sized YouTuber tweeted about it.
• 18,000 creators joined the waitlist. The founder had email + Stripe Checkout duct-taped together but no real product.
• Payments would land in his personal Stripe account. There was no creator dashboard, no payouts, no refunds, no chargeback handling, no fraud screening.

The result

• $90K GMV in 6 weeks at a 9% platform fee, $8.1K in net revenue with no marketing spend.
• The platform has since been profitable from month 2. The founder used the launch traction to raise a small angel round for a content discovery feature.
